Campus Mail Service serves as a liaison between the university and the United States Postal Service (USPS) handling and delivering all United States and campus mail directed to offices on the Carbondale campus. Specific services include the following:

  1. weighing outgoing mail, affixing postage, and sealing envelopes with the use of machines;
  2. registering, certifying, or insuring United States mail;
  3. verifying data on third-class bulk mailing statements and dispatching these mailings to the USPS;
  4. preparing and dispatching first-class presort mailings;
  5. providing Express Mail service including the establishment of Express Mail corporate accounts for after-hours service;
  6. selling perforated stamps for after-hours or off-campus use;
  7. providing information concerning both domestic and overseas mail;
  8. providing limited on-call service for pickup and delivery of parcels requiring special handling.
