Student Declaration of Current Residence and Physical Location
Every Student is required to report accurate address information (Mailing, Campus, and/or Permanent) in Salukinet at the time of registration. Any change to one of these addresses while attending SIUC should be updated within 5 business days of the change.
If you are not residing in University Housing, SIUC will use your permanent address to determine your physical location for reporting and regulatory purposes unless you have declared a mailing address. If you have declared a mailing address separate from your permanent address, SIUC will use your mailing address to determine your physical location for reporting and regulatory purposes. If your reported address does not accurately reflect the state, you are physically located in while engaging with SIUC please contact the Registrar’s Office at 618-453-2963.
Accurate reporting of the state you are physically located in while attending/engaging with SIUC either in person, online, or in an Experiential Learning Experience * is necessary to ensure appropriate administration of financial aid, ability to obtain licensure upon completion of your educational program, authorization for online education, experiential learning placements, etc.
If the student is in an educational program that leads to certification or professional licensure, they should consult with their advisor at least 60 days prior to any relocation and/or experiential learning experience outside the state of Illinois whether in person or online.
*Experiential Learning Experience includes but is not limit to clinical rotation, internship, externship, student teaching, co-curricular courses, fellowship, apprenticeship, field experience, travel study, etc.
