A/P Staff

The administrative and professional staff constituency consists of members of the university community who hold an administrative/professional title and do not hold a voting membership in another constituency. In Policies 2 A. 11, of the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University, professional staff is defined as "the principal administrative appointees as determined by the Merit Board governing the State Universities Civil Service System."

Appointments to positions using administrative titles can be made only after the title has been approved by the State Universities Civil Service Merit Board.
